A dedicated Symposium for OES member Tony Lewis, organized by MaREI

MaREI, the Centre for Marine and Renewable Energy in Ireland presents “The Lewis Symposium” to honour Professor Tony Lewis for his significant contributions to the field of Ocean Energy.

The event will take place on the 29th of February and 1st of March 2016 in Cork, Ireland.
The event will include:

• A history of Marine Renewable Energy (MRE)
• Current drivers and policy from across the globe on MRE
• Ongoing research in the MaREI Centre with an emphasis on the role of integration of MRE into the broader Energy Grid
• A special Q&A “audience with Tony” including for a panel session
• An opportunity to view the new facilities including for the new Beaufort Building and the state of the art National Ocean Test Facility (known as LIR) on the Monday evening
• A Gala dinner on Monday Evening
