IEA-OES collaborates with ICOE 2021

Energizing a Powerful Blue Economy

The International Energy Agency’s Ocean Energy Systems Technology Collaboration Programme on Ocean Energy Systems (IEA-OES) collaborates with the International Conference on Ocean Energy.

ICOE 2021 will bring the ocean energy industry together April 28-30, 2021 to discuss device innovation, new market developments, and regulatory frameworks to spur commercialization. In addition to unparalleled opportunities to network and learn from industry leaders from around the world, ICOE 2021 provides a variety of forums for attendees to share advancements in research and technology breakthroughs.

The Chairman of OES, Yann-Hervé De Roeck, was honored to be invited to moderate the session on Commercialization on the Horizon: International Advancements in Marine Energy during the Opening Plenary.

Panelists include OES Delegates from Australia, China and European Commission, as well as Chile already invited to join OES: 

  • Mark Hemer – CSIRO / Blue Economy Co-operative Research Centre, Australia

  • Peng Wei – National Ocean Technology Center, China

  • Gloria Maldonado – Marine Energy Research & Innovation Center (MERIC), Chile
