IEA-OES Webinar: Evaluation and Guidance Framework for Ocean Energy Technology

The International Energy Agency (IEA) Technology Collaboration Programme on Ocean Energy Systems (OES) is pleased to invite you to the Webinar: Evaluation and Guidance Framework for Ocean Energy Technology, on Wednesday, 24 February at 14:00 GMT/UTC.

This webinar follows the release of the report “An International Evaluation and Guidance Framework for Ocean Energy Technology”. This webinar will introduce the concept and content of the Evaluation and Guidance Framework that resulted from a collaborative work led by the European Commission and delivered by the Wave Energy Scotland, the U.S. Department of Energy, and a number of other representatives from the OES Executive Committee. It will further present the criteria used to evaluate technologies and the recommended engineering activities to be carried out at each stage of the technology development process. Main goal of this webinar is to bring a high-level discussion of the importance of technology evaluation and guidance in the ocean energy sector, ensuring that decision-makers have consistent information available to them.
