European Maritime Day (EMD) 2026

Europe’s annual meeting on maritime affairs and the sustainable blue economy

European Maritime Day (EMD) 2026 will take place in Limassol, Cyprus, on 21–22 May 2026 as an in-person event, with plenary sessions live streamed. Organised by the European Commission, the Shipping Deputy Ministry of the Republic of Cyprus and the Limassol Municipality, EMD brings together Europe’s maritime community to network, exchange views and shape joint action on maritime affairs and the sustainable blue economy.

The event will feature plenary sessions, thematic panels, stakeholder workshops, an exhibition and extensive networking opportunities. EMD 2026 will highlight a broad range of sea-related activities and sectors, offering an interactive platform for businesses, policymakers, public institutions, NGOs, academia and citizens to engage with the current and future challenges of Europe’s maritime and blue economy landscape.
