Canada welcomes the 5th International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE), the global marine renewable energy event focused on the industrial development of marine renewable energy.

Canada welcomes the 5th International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE), the global marine renewable energy event focused on the industrial development of marine renewable energy. Hosted by Marine Renewables Canada in partnership with The Maritimes Energy Association, Government of Nova Scotia, Trade Centre Limited, and Offshore Energy Research Association, the 2014 ICOE will be a North American first.

The International Conference on Ocean Energy is the global venue for exchange of information and building relationships, in order to grow a world-wide renewable ocean energy delivery.

The event maintains an identity as the “International Conference on Ocean Energy” but is delivered by a host organization supported by an international committee of leading ocean energy influencers.

Past and future hosts will maintain an association with OES which will provide continuity and identity for ICOE and OES is creating an open public archive of materials (presentations, papers) from each past event.

The event will be held in at least even years, delivered by a host country team selected 2 years in advance. In order to engage with the full geography of the developing world of marine renewable Energy – this may drive a move to annual delivery.

Delivery is expected to continue to expand industry- to- industry linkages and where possible, the event will include a trade exhibition and an INORE event. OES will archive materials associated with these outreach efforts where possible.

If you have questions about the event, please contact: amanda@marinerenewables.ca

The OES is organised under the auspices of the International Energy Agency (IEA) but is functionally and legally autonomous. Views, findings and publications of the OES do not necessarily represent the views or policies of the IEA Secretariat or its individual member countries.
