Since its inception in 1969, Oceanology has continually evolved. It has done so in order to best connect a growing array and complexity of scientific and technical capability with an ever changing and developing range of uses and users who derive safety, economic and environmental benefits from the capabilities that ocean science and technology delivers. Oceanology International 2016 will be no exception to meeting the changing needs and interests of the community that it serves.
As well as the regular conference strands on unmanned vehicles and vessels, ocean observing systems and hydrography, geophysics and geotechnics there will be some new topics and features.
