Date: November 04, 2013 at 17:58 GMT

Hydro-Gen is a “marine current turbine” based on the exclusive concept of a big floating paddle wheel included in a turbine frame and solidly anchored to the seabed.
Tentative size for 1 Mw:
Length: 30 m,
Width: 25 m,
Wheel diameter: 20 m, draft: 8m,
Height above the sea level: 12 m.
A single unit can reach 1 Mw, with 8 knots current. Farms of several units, in patterns, are forecasted.
