This presentation outlines the assessment of the state of the art in regional-scale Ocean Modeling for Tidal Energy applications. It provides information on regional-scale Ocean Models, application to Tidal Power: three “Levels” of Model Usage, resource identification and site selection, validation and dynamics, energy extraction, device / array representation, forcing and boundary conditions, impact assessment, end-user relevance and acknowledgements.
