Identify the next research priorities for environmental monitoring

We are happy to invite you to our workshop Latest results & key priorities in environmental monitoring, taking place on 5 November at OEE2024 in Aviemore, Scotland.

The workshop is co-organised by ETIP Ocean and OES Environmental, and it focuses on the latest results of environmental research on ocean energy. Breakout groups will then focus on the most pressing topics such as collision risk and noise. Join the discussion about the next research priorities as the sector moves towards larger farms.

The workshop follows the publication of the 2024 State of the Science Report: Environmental Effects of Marine Renewable Energy Development Around the World  which OES-Environmental recently released at the International Conference on Ocean Energy in Melbourne, Australia.

The 2024 State of the Science Report, available on Tethys, brings together the most up-to-date information on potential environmental effects of marine renewable energy; shares helpful resources, such as education and outreach tools, strategies to aid consenting, and data information systems; and identifies a path forward.
