Posted 2017-09-28 in News

A side event to the OEE 2017 conference in Nantes on Tuesday 24th October from 12:00-17:30

Free of charge, pre-registration required

The MET-CERTIFIED project aims to increase the adoption of insurable and therefore bankable marine energy projects in the 2 SEAS region through the development of internationally recognised standards and certification schemes in the sector.

The workshop is designed to actively involve all stakeholders around certification, from banks and insurers to consenting authorities, technology developers, test facilities and certification bodies. During the workshop, experts will explain the system that is under development under the umbrella of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Stakeholders are invited to share their expectations and needs from the system.

MET-CERTIFIED is funded by the European Interreg 2 Seas programme and cofinanced by the European Fund for Regional Development (ERFD) under grant agreement No 2S01-020 for the period September 2016 – December 2019. Also, the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the Netherlands, Province of South-Holland and North-Holland and the Belgian Province of West Flanders are offering financial support.
