IEA-OES Opens Call for Proposals to Host ICOE 2028

The IEA-OES is pleased to announce that the competitive process to select the host for the International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE) 2028 is now open.

ICOE is the leading global event focused on the industrial development of ocean energy. Held every two years, the conference serves as a vital platform for sharing research, demonstration efforts, and industrial experiences. It features plenary sessions, a trade exhibition, and networking opportunities for hundreds of participants, including government officials and key industry leaders.

  • Who can apply: National/regional energy agencies, associations, or government development agencies (single organizations or consortia).
  • Requirements: Proposals must include an overview of the venue, organizational experience, a preliminary budget, and an endorsement from the national government delegate.
