ICOE OEE 2026: Extended Deadline for Technical Paper Submission

Posted 2026-10-23 in News

Authors who presented abstracts at ICOE OEE 2026 now have until 13 November 2026 to submit their full technical papers for consideration for a special issue of the International Marine Energy Journal (IMEJ).

ICOE OEE 2026, held in The Hague from 5 to 7 October, brought together the international ocean energy community to share the latest research, technological developments and experiences supporting the advancement of ocean energy.

As a follow-up to the conference, authors of accepted abstracts are invited to develop their contributions into full technical papers, providing an opportunity to present their research, methodologies, results and conclusions in greater detail.

Following a review and selection process, papers may be recommended for publication in a special issue of the International Marine Energy Journal (IMEJ) dedicated to ICOE OEE 2026. This initiative aims to extend the impact of the conference by making selected research contributions available to the wider ocean energy community.

The deadline for submitting full technical papers has been extended, giving authors additional time to prepare their manuscripts.

The updated timeline is:
  • 13 November 2026: Full paper submission deadline
  • 14 December 2026: Authors notified of reviewers' comments and IMEJ recommendation
  • 11 January 2027: Revised paper submission deadline
  • 25 January 2027: Authors notified of acceptance of revised papers
Submissions must follow the conference's technical paper guidelines, including the requirement that the work has not been previously published or submitted to another journal for consideration.

Authors should use the official ICOE OEE 2026 technical paper template. Information available here.
