This ETIP Ocean suite will allow students and the public to learn about the key benefits and challenges associated with ocean energy, and take ownership in developing their own ocean energy projects in a classroom environment. The educational materials can be accessed individually, or used in conjunction as the interactive game builds on the learnings from the website content, and the downloadable lesson plan includes discussion points and a group activity on ocean energy site selection.
The European Technology and Innovation Platform for Ocean Energy (ETIP Ocean) is funded by the European Commission to define research and innovation priorities for the ocean energy sector and promote solutions to the industry, European and national policy makers. ETIP Ocean brings together around 500 experts from 150 organisations covering the entire European ocean energy sector.
